As the director of MWFITNESS, I am committed to providing excellence. Since qualifying in 2004 I have strived to be and offer the best.
Immediately following my graduation, I was headhunted by Cannons Health Club (now Nuffield Health) in Bishop’s Stortford with the task of setting up and running in-house Personal Training at just 19 years of age. In 2005 I received an invitation from WEST HAM UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB to join the first team medical staff, working with some of the best Physiotherapists and sports scientists in the country.
I have been lucky enough to work with world champions and elite sporting athletes.
In 2006, I created MWFITNESS. Working as a free-lance Personal Trainer, with a car boot full of equipment working 16-hour days travelling to clients’ houses delivering 1-to-1 Fitness Sessions and Sports Massage Therapy.
I received a phone call from Colchester United Football Club in 2008 with an offer of joining their Medical Team. This involved travelling all over the country with the First Team helping with Injury re-habilitation and preparing the players for match day.
In October 2010, I opened up MWFITNESS PERSONAL TRAINING AND WELL BEING STUDIO where clients can come and enjoy the full package that is ‘the MWFITNESS experience’.

I have been lucky enough to join the MWFitness Team since qualifying with my diploma in 2018 and am looking forward to assisting clients to meet their health and fitness goals. I am always seeking to further improve my knowledge of the fitness industry and I am grateful to be working alongside such a knowledgable and experienced team here at MWFitness. Coming from a sporting background I have always taken an interest in my fitness and have been passionate about nutrition, weight control, horse riding and gymnastics coaching. My goal is to guide people to a healthy balancedlifestyle where fitness can become enjoyable and integrated into your routine. I am dedicated totaking a healthy, holistic approach to fitness and nutrition; guiding you to a fun and rewarding fitness journey with positive feedback and noticeable results.

John has been in the fitness industry for 30 years working with bodybuilders, athletes and varying members of the general public. John has also competed himself in Strongman competitions and represented Great Britain in Belgium at the Federation of Natural Bodybuilders.
His skills are perfectly put to use with clients that not only want to lose weight, but to also define shape, strength train, increase body mass or utilise martial arts conditioning. As an added bonus John is also a Nutritional Advisor and has a wide base of knowledge about diet and supplements through academic education and also personal experience.
When it comes to training Johns philosophy is "You get out - what you put in", and always encourages people to DO and BE their best. This motivation comes from seeing peoples happiness when they have reached their goals and says these are the proudest moments in his career.
Fitness is a way of life and it means everything to him to share his 30 years knowledge and experience with his clients.

My journey began on the sports field playing cricket and hockey at County level.
A love of food and cooking led me to become a Chef/ Restauranteur for over 2 decades
at The Lemon Tree in the centre of Bishop’s Stortford.
A desire for a change of lifestyle by combining my skillsets along with my passion for sport,
nutrition and wellbeing drove me to qualify as a Personal Trainer.
As an older adult I’ve travelled on life’s highway and sustained a few injuries along the way and
appreciate the difficulties in achieving that elusive work/life balance.
But with determination, empathy and patience I can help achieve your goals and break down
barriers which may seem daunting.
Fitness is challenging but it should also be invigorating and fun with an overwhelming positive
feeling that you’re on the right path and doing the right things.
I’m thrilled to have joined Mike and the team at MWFitness who share a burning desire along with
a professional and friendly approach to achieving your fitness and lifestyle dreams.

Lauren has been a part of the MWFITNESS team since we first opened our doors in 2010. Initially recruited for her dancing background, Lauren was encouraged by Mike to join the world of fitness instruction. Since then she has had great success with training a wide variety of clients.
From the tender age of 3 I attended the Graham School of Dance and at the age of 16 went to London to train professionally at the prestigious Italia Conti Academy and graduated with a National Diploma in Dance/Musical Theatre in 2004 I was approached by Mike to teach dance and aerobics for MWFITNESS at a local school in Bishops Stortford. Having had a taste of the fitness industry combined with the love and passion for working with and encouraging people to achieve I decided to add another string to my bow and gained my Premiere Global Diploma in Personal Training in April 2011.

I have always been interested in exercise and wellbeing. I was a keen runner from a young
age and studied Sports Science at university. But I wasn’t very confident, and because I was
also good with computers, I ended up pursuing a successful career in IT.
I spent many years working for Tesco leading major projects, but I managed to pick up my running again,
joining a local running club and completed the London Marathon in the year 2000 along
with numerous other races and events.
As time went on, friends and family would ask my advice on getting fit or preparing for
races. I really enjoyed helping people and I so in 2015, I decided to take the plunge and
qualify as a Personal Trainer, Pilates instructor and Nutritional Therapist.
My Passion, Career and Approach
My passion is in supporting people to be the best and healthiest they can be by bringing
together the right exercise, nutrition and lifestyle advice.
Having juggled a busy corporate career with family life, I understand the challenges
of modern-day living and how easy it is to put your wellbeing to the bottom of the priority
list. My approach is about taking practical and achievable steps to empower you to reach
