As the director of MWFITNESS, I am committed to providing excellence. Since qualifying in 2004 I have strived to be and offer the best.

Immediately following my graduation, I was headhunted by Cannons Health Club (now Nuffield Health) in Bishop’s Stortford with the task of setting up and running in-house Personal Training at just 19 years of age. In 2005 I received an invitation from WEST HAM UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB to join the first team medical staff, working with some of the best Physiotherapists and sports scientists in the country.

I have been lucky enough to work with world champions and elite sporting athletes.

In 2006, I created MWFITNESS. Working as a free-lance Personal Trainer, with a car boot full of equipment working 16-hour days travelling to clients’ houses delivering 1-to-1 Fitness Sessions and Sports Massage Therapy.

I received a phone call from Colchester United Football Club in 2008 with an offer of joining their Medical Team. This involved travelling all over the country with the First Team helping with Injury re-habilitation and preparing the players for match day.

In October 2010, I opened up MWFITNESS PERSONAL TRAINING AND WELL BEING STUDIO where clients can come and enjoy the full package that is ‘the MWFITNESS experience’.

    Having always had an interest in sports and health from an early age, Mark followed this up with a Premier Diploma in Personal Training and Sports Massage Therapy in 2008. Mark has notably worked with Olympic teams preparing for the 2012 London Games, individual UK athletes aiming to break into the 2016 Rio Games, female models who have featured within Vogue Magazine and many, many members of the general public looking to improve their health.

    Using the skills and knowledge I have gained I now want to help you reach your health and wellbeing goals. I find it rewarding to set you S.M.A.R.T goals and assist you with your achievement and re-evaluation and will strive to make your workouts varied and fun, as well as challenging. Since gaining my qualification, I have furthered my learning above and beyond the base level achieved during my course. I truly believe that exercise can be fun for everybody and as such strive to make your sessions enjoyable as well as challenging, but don't let that fool you into thinking I am a soft touch! In our sessions I will challenge you to push yourself to your limits, which will often be above what you may think you’re capable of to enable you to attain your desired goals.

    I am a mum of two, I enjoy long distance bike rides in my spare time with my husband. I have run marathons, half marathons, 'tough mudders', 20 mile 'rat race', numerous 100/50 Mile charity bike rides, including the Etape du Yorkshire (stage 1 of Tour de France) and London 26.2 mile Moon Walk.

    I believe getting yourself fit and healthy should become a way of life. I will work with every client to achieve their own personal goals, whether it be weight loss/gain, confidence building, gaining strength/endurance, drop a dress size or training for an up and coming event.

    I work with all different kinds of people, from pre/post natal, young adults, the elderly. I find I am getting results with all my clients at all kinds of levels.

    I am a fully qualified Personal Trainer with certificates in Nutrition and Suspension Fitness.
    I have been lucky enough to join the MWFitness Team since qualifying with my diploma in 2018 and am looking forward to assisting clients to meet their health and fitness goals. I am always seeking to further improve my knowledge of the fitness industry and I am grateful to be working alongside such a knowledgable and experienced team here at MWFitness. Coming from a sporting background I have always taken an interest in my fitness and have been passionate about nutrition, weight control, horse riding and gymnastics coaching. My goal is to guide people to a healthy balancedlifestyle where fitness can become enjoyable and integrated into your routine. I am dedicated totaking a healthy, holistic approach to fitness and nutrition; guiding you to a fun and rewarding fitness journey with positive feedback and noticeable results.

  • John Campbell
    Personal Trainer

    John has been in the fitness industry for 30 years working with bodybuilders, athletes and varying members of the general public. John has also competed himself in Strongman competitions and represented Great Britain in Belgium at the Federation of Natural Bodybuilders.

    His skills are perfectly put to use with clients that not only want to lose weight, but to also define shape, strength train, increase body mass or utilise martial arts conditioning. As an added bonus John is also a Nutritional Advisor and has a wide base of knowledge about diet and supplements through academic education and also personal experience.

    When it comes to training Johns philosophy is "You get out - what you put in", and always encourages people to DO and BE their best. This motivation comes from seeing peoples happiness when they have reached their goals and says these are the proudest moments in his career.

    Fitness is a way of life and it means everything to him to share his 30 years knowledge and experience with his clients.

    Jo is a Personal Trainer with a unique vantage point here at MWFITNESS. This is because she understands the role from both sides of the fence. Starting out as a client with Mike she achieved incredible results including a weight loss of 3 st 7 lbs and more impressively a 10% reduction in body fat.

    Health and fitness quickly became such an important part of her life that she wanted to become more involved.

    I started personal training in a client capacity in 2009, which is when I started to take my fitness seriously. Since then, I have been on an incredible journey with both highs and lows, but the rewards are immeasurable.

    I qualified as a Personal Trainer at the age of 46 and this experience has inspired me to realise my passion. I am really excited to put my wealth of knowledge into practice and I am committed to making your experience as rewarding as mine. Together, we can reach your goals.

    Steph joined the MWFITNESS Team in September 2014 and is a gifted personal trainer. With an eye for detail, she meticulously works through every aspect of fitness with her clients doing everything she can to help them see great results.


    I am a qualified Level 4 Personal Trainer and been training clients for over 3 years. I take pride in Personal Training clients to help them achieve their goal. Fitness has been a passion of mine from a young age. I played a variety of sports and have been a member of various gyms since the age of 15. I have developed my passion for the fitness industry into a career that I love.

    Lauren has been a part of the MWFITNESS team since we first opened our doors in 2010. Initially recruited for her dancing background, Lauren was encouraged by Mike to join the world of fitness instruction. Since then she has had great success with training a wide variety of clients.

    From the tender age of 3 I attended the Graham School of Dance and at the age of 16 went to London to train professionally at the prestigious Italia Conti Academy and graduated with a National Diploma in Dance/Musical Theatre in 2004 I was approached by Mike to teach dance and aerobics for MWFITNESS at a local school in Bishops Stortford. Having had a taste of the fitness industry combined with the love and passion for working with and encouraging people to achieve I decided to add another string to my bow and gained my Premiere Global Diploma in Personal Training in April 2011.

    Manual Therapist

    Giles Gamble is an incredibly experienced and knowledgeable practitioner. He has been practising the Hendrickson Method of Manual Therapy for over 16 years. Giles trained directly with Dr Thomas Hendrickson in Berkeley, California in 2001. After completing a 4 year teaching programme of 800 hours, Giles became one of the lead Hendrickson Method Tutors in California; he held this position for 11 years. He was honoured and delighted to be involved in expanding the Hendrickson Method outside the USA, and began teaching in the U.K in 2008.

    Giles has had his own successful practice in several locations in California for 18 years, and is very excited to move to the UK. He looks forward to continuing to practice and teach others in a therapy he feels passionate and enthusiastic to share. Primarily as a practitioner he's glad to be able to aid healing, restore functional movement, and provide pain relief to many conditions both acute, and chronic.
